BDACS, a South Korean digital asset custodian, is advancing its stablecoin strategy with the launch of KRW1, a Korean won-backed token, on Circle’s newly introduced Arc blockchain. This initiative aims to bridge Korea’s burgeoning fintech sector with the global stablecoin ecosystem.

"This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for Korean innovation on the global stage," said CEO Hongyeol Ryu. The partnership with Circle, issuer of USDC, underscores BDACS’s commitment to fostering interoperable digital finance networks across Asia-Pacific and beyond.

The KRW1 trademark was registered in December 2023, signaling BDACS’s long-term vision for stablecoin adoption. The memorandum of understanding with Circle highlights a shared goal of seamless integration into the broader digital asset infrastructure.
